Bluetooth Low Energy technology operates in the same spectrum range as Classic Bluetooth technology (2.400 GHz-2.4835 GHz ISM band) and also uses frequency hopping to counteract narrowband interference problems. However, it uses a different set of channels and instead of Bluetooth Classic’s 79 1-MHz wide channels, Bluetooth LE has 40 2-MHz wide channels. The bit rate is 1Mbit/s, and the maximum transmit power is 10 mW.
